Operation: Wean from the Binkie- Update
It is day 6 of the Operation and so far it isn’t as terrible as we had expected. He has only asked for it a few times and settles for the response of “it went bye-byes”. He is going to sleep with no to little fuss, minus the past two days when he fought naptime with a passion. But I am chalking that up as a fluke because once he went to sleep after 10 minutes of fuss, he slept for 2+ hours so I know he was tired. The only real issue is that he wakes up so early in the morning. Which I think he has always done. But when he did before, he’d find a binky in the crib, pop it in his mouth and just lay there or go back to sleep. Now he talks, calls for “mamaaaaaa” or cries. And it is so hard to resist that sweet voice calling “mama”, even at 6am and its still dark outside. But overall, he is doing well sans binkie.
